Girls and boys from SS Lazio Rugby and Field Hockey donate blood to Gemelli –
From the world of sport, with a concrete gesture, a new important message transmitted in favor of safeguarding life and its most precious asset.
In fact, on Monday 25 March 2024, at the Gemelli Polyclinic in Rome, 30 Lazio Rugby and Field Hockey players, 10 girls and 20 boys, donated blood at the Gemelli Polyclinic in Rome.
The initiative is part of a collaborative relationship established between the Lazio Sports Society, in its many competitive disciplines expressed and the Blood Donors Association “F. Olgiati” ODV, through the Gemelli Polyclinic itself.
Organizer of the collaboration is prof. Andrea Urbani, Full Professor of Chemistry, Biochemistry and Clinical Molecular Biology at the Agostino Gemelli University Hospital, former rugby player.
Extremely appreciated by them, as a sign of recognition for the gesture performed, the donation of Olgiati shirts to the young sports donors, to which must be added the delivery of the badge for those who have signed up to the Olgiati Association, as frequent blood donors.
At the end, to regain the necessary energy, necessary in sport as in life, pizza with mortadella was offered to the kids, all within a context that will see the experience that took place last Monday repeated in the future in various periods at least three times the year.
