There Easter at Volley Parella now traditionally coincides with “Easter under the Net”. The youth tournament has reached its fifteenth edition and is the true flagship of the company’s programming, due to the success it continues to enjoy year after year.

TO THE STARTING BLOCKS
The matches began on Thursday 28 March and Friday 29 March will be the day of the finals, which will make Turin the capital of Italian youth volleyball. Started almost by chance in 2008, the parellina creation has now become a fixed appointment in the calendar, growing in numbers up to this year’s records. There are seven categories competing, three male (Under 13, Under 15 and Under 17) and four female (Under 13, Under 14, Under 16 and Under 18), with almost 1,200 athletes from 56 sports clubs and almost 100 teams registered .

RECORD NUMBERS
There are over 250 technicians and managers and around 100 referees and field staff, spread across 15 facilities (all city facilities, except the PalaBlu in Moncalieri and the Cln gym in Grugliasco) and 22 playgrounds. Numbers that confirm “Easter under the Net” as one of the most important events in the Turin sporting scene. Also this year the “Alessia Berruti Trophy”, a tribute to the memory of the 11-year-old from Liguria, who tragically passed away during the 2015 edition. The winner will be the team that stands out for its best behavior on the field, promoting fair play and the sporting values ​​that the tournament wants to embody. This special prize is raffled off every year, to remember Alessia and inspire the teams to give their best, not only on the pitch, but also off it.
