Dafter the Portimao Sprint Fabio Quartararo one reported strain or in any case muscle discomfort in the calf. The muscle injury was reported to have worsened during Monday’s tests. The news is reported by motorsport-total.com.
French on Sunday he didn’t feel any pain during the race, which ended at seventh place. Afterwards he did not talk about the calf problems. On Monday Yamaha had scheduled a private test with the two drivers in Portimao but the day proved to be not very productive due to the track conditions. Quartararo and Rins did it only six laps.
According to reports motorsport-total on Tuesday Quartararo was supposed to take part in a presentation in France in view of the Le Mans GP, but he canceled the appointment: “During the press conference – we read on motorsport-total – a short video message from the former world champion was played and Quartararo said of his calf strain: ‘It got worse during the test, so we will do more in-depth investigations’.”
Quartararo then went to Barcelona to be visited by Doctor Xavier Mir.
