VBC Casalmaggiore would like to compete in the A2 series, perhaps with Manfredini still in the squad – iVolley Magazine

The general director of Vbc Casalmaggiore Giovanni Ghini, as reported by cremonasport.it, spoke about the future of the pink club which a month ago sold the right to the women’s A1 series to Cuneo Granda Volley. After deep reflection, the Casalasco association would have entered into the idea of returning “to the field” in the A2 series championship.

The General Manager explained that “To do this we have been in contact for some time with B1 clubs who are preparing for the final rush of the season, we are in negotiations with some entities, but obviously to close everything we will have to wait for the end of the championship. Cuneo never offered us the title of A2, – continues Ghini – the negotiation that saw our sale of A1 was quick and they already had concrete offers for the second category of A, i.e. Costa Volpino.”

Despite the lack of certainties, VBC is working on the transfer market in secret: “We have already stopped some players in the category – then added Ghini – From last season there is Linda Manfredini, but here the issue is more delicate. She is studying in Casalmaggiore and she will have to do her fifth year next year. Having her at VBC for the A2 would certainly be an important step, but we cannot ignore the fact that last season attracted the attention of many places. Let’s say so, for continuity and tranquility of her path, Casalmaggiore is the safest choice, but it would also be wrong to cap her wings.”
