The woman strangled to death in Beinette (Cuneo)
Today’s morning – Friday 28 June 2024 – around 9 am, a woman was found lifeless in her homein a house in via Josina, in the center of Beinette, a municipality in the province of Cuneo, in Piedmont.
According to the information collected so far, the woman, 84-year-old Maria Orlando, originally from Sicily, would have been strangled at home by her 85-year-old husband, Ernesto Bellino, former Italcementi employee. The couple had been married for over fifty years.

At that point the police took the man away, who was then questioned by the public prosecutor of the Cuneo Public Prosecutor’s Office, Pier Attilio Stea, to whom he reported what had happened.
After the confession, the 85-year-old was placed under arrest and was transferred to the “Cerialdo” prison in Cuneowhich is just over ten kilometers from the site of the tragedy.
Beinette’s murder
