FELTRE (BELLUNO) – Father Luigi Bassetto, 80 years old, would have died from a morphine injection administered by a nurse 10 times higher than that prescribed by the doctor. This is what the Belluno Prosecutor’s Office suspects that he received a report from the hospital’s health management.
For this reason, he was registered under investigation for manslaughter a 45-year-old nurse and an autopsy has been ordered: the task will be given to the pathologist Antonello Cirnelli on Monday morning. Bassetto lived in a hamlet of the municipality of Setteville (Belluno) and died on 19 June in the medical department of Feltre hospital. In the first days of June he was hospitalized for heart failure.
