here is the first album of “Fifth Town”

The homonymous EP by the Forlì band “Fifth Town” is available from Friday on all digital streaming platforms. All the songs were recorded in Padua, in Studio 2 Recording, leading to a product that transmits novelty and tradition at the same time, with their Indie Rock sound. After the releases of “Heartbreak Highway” and “I Can’t Feel My Face ”, from today we can finally listen to Fifth Town’s brand new EP, which mixes different influences from the Rock music scene, managing to bring out a record with a fresh, engaging sound that does not deny the past. The EP consists of 5 songs, two of which have already been released previously: Heartbreak Highway, I Can’t Feel My Face, The Stars Are Falling Down, Falling Leaf and Prophetic Dream.

All the songs manage to link together perfectly, even though they are different. “Writing an entire album in English comes from the fact that the band also wants to try to push its music beyond the Alps – says Alex Verna, creator of the project -. Furthermore, I think that a work like this can easily be listened to by anyone, regardless of geographical location. Hence the choice of English to standardize listening.” Fifth Town is a young Indie Rock band officially born in 2021 in Forlì. They decided to start the musical project in the garage of their home in Pievequinta, a hamlet of Forlì where they often gathered to play, drawing inspiration for the name of the project. The band’s debut in the Forlì venues achieved moderate success, consolidating their presence in the local music scene.

The writing of the songs is mainly entrusted to Alex Verna, singer and guitarist of the group, who finds inspiration for the songs from personal experiences, tackling themes ranging from love to youth challenges. The first song written and released by the band is “Almost Felt The Moon”, a track that marks their first serious recording experience. The band has developed a sound that mixes influences of classic English rock from the 1960s with modern Indie Rock elements from the 2000s. Experimenting with new sounds and styles, Fifth Town seeks to bring freshness to the Rock genre, while maintaining links with musical roots of the past. 2023 is a pivotal year for the band, with the release of the single “Heartbreak Highway”.

Also in the same year, Fifth Town decided to participate in the X-Factor Auditions, an experience that led them to interact with a wider audience and grow both musically and personally. In March 2024 their third single “I Can’t Feel My Face” was released, creating more and more interest in the project. With the desire to communicate through their music and leave a unique mark on the musical landscape, Fifth Town continues to grow, experiment and share their passion with the public.
