The May Day Concert 2024 has its presenters and also its lead singers. On the official social networks of the concert – which this year will be held exceptionally at the Circus Maximus – the first novelties and the protagonists of the new edition have been announced.
Who presents the May Day 2024 Concert
The event promoted by CGIL, CISL and UIL and organized by iCompany on May 1st will be presented by Noemi and Ermal Meta who will pick up the baton left by Ambra Angiolini and Biggio who hosted the 2023 edition (Angiolini was at the helm of the Concertone since 2018)b. “My happiness is immense – declared Noemi – I am honored to lead such an important party, made of music and sharing. I attended the Concertone many times, first among the crowd as a child and then on stage as a singer. Taking the stage on May Day as a presenter in a location like the Circus Maximus in our splendid Rome is a great emotion.”
“It is a great emotion and responsibility to take the stage at May Day, this time also as host – said Ermal Meta instead – I am happy with this new adventure, especially because I will share it with Noemi, a woman and an artist who I have always respected.”
However, Noemi and Ermal Meta will be preceded by BigMama who, in fact, will present the first part of the Concertone: “A feisty artist – we read on the social networks of Primo Maggio Roma – who, starting from his performance on the May Day stage (2022), took off towards his well-deserved success”.
The singers of May Day 2024
The names of the singers who, this year, will go on the special stage of the Circus Maximus are also starting to be made official, they are: Achille Lauro, La Representative di Lista, Colapesce Dimartino, Malika Ayane, Dargen D’Amico, Rose Villain, Piero Pelù, Coez & Frah Quintale.

Let’s listen to the Future #1M2024
“Let’s build together a Europe of peace, work and social justice” is the slogan that CGIL, CISL and UIL have chosen for Labor Day 2024. The artistic line of the Concertone 2024 will develop around the concept “Let’s listen to the Future #1M2024” , with the intention of marking a new important stage in the musical narration that Primo Maggio has been carrying forward for some time, in an attempt to tell the present of the fervent national music scene, imagining its future.
As every year, there will be 3 winning artists of the 1MNEXT Contest through which the Concerto del Primo Maggio searches for new talents who, chosen through the various selection phases, will then be invited to perform during the Concertone 2024. The 3 winners will be selected during the final live on April 18th in Rome (behind closed doors), through the vote of the Quality Jury composed of: Massimo Bonelli (artistic director of the May Day Concert, jury president), Sara Potente (artistic director Numero Uno/Sony Music), Lucia Stacchiotti (iCompany), Annarita Masullo (The Goodness Factory) and Simona Orlando (Rockol). One of the 3 will finally be awarded during the live TV broadcast on May Day as the winner of 1MNEXT 2024.
The May Day Concert on TV
As always, the Concertone will be free to enter. It will be broadcast starting from 3.15 pm and until 00.15 am (with a break from 7.00 pm to 8.00 pm for the news editions) live on Rai 3 and Rai Radio 2 and will be broadcast on RaiPlay and Rai Italia.
