THE PLOT OF AS LONG AS IT ENDS WELL: THE VOICE OF CUPID

Cupid’s Voicethe film directed by Ago Panini, follows the story of Paola (Chiara Francini), a truck driver with a strong, rough and proud character, used to the solitude of the roads and to always saying what she thinks.
A few days before New Year’s Eve, it is very close to achieving an important goal: the national title of Truck Driver of the Year. At the wheel of his truck, Armando, which bears the name and spirit of his father, travels tirelessly along the roads of Italy. Behind the sarcastic armor, however, Paola hides a sensitive soul that emerges when she listens to the romantic podcast La Voce di Cupido, falling facelessly in love with its host, Lucio (Giorgio Marchesi). Her path takes an unexpected turn when, on the eve of victory, she is involved in a seemingly trivial accident that puts the truck out of commission. Fate has it that the car he collides with belongs to Lucio.
There’s also complicating things Carloa polite NCC driver with refined manners and an unresolved past, who Paola treats with biting irony. Forced to travel together in search of a spare part, the three give life to an unusual road movie between misunderstandings, bickering, forced complicity and unexpected confidences.
Between mechanical failures, gossip and kilometres, Paola will not only have to get her truck back in motion, but also find the courage to put the pieces of her heart back together.
