The Year to Come: on stage artists such as Serena Brancale, Patty Pravo, Cristiano Malgioglio and others
Also on December 31, 2025, Rai’s greetings will have Calabria and its natural beauty as their backdrop. The Region bathed by two seas will in fact see, for the third time, on this occasion from the seafront of the capital Catanzaro, the presence of “The Year to Come”.
Leading, for the second time, Marco Liornia polite and familiar face to all viewers of the Prima Rete. Alongside him, as always, many artists to give life to a unique and unrepeatable evening in which the public will be invited to spend December 31st full of fun, serenity and joy. All this from 21 approximately, immediately after the end-of-year message of President of the Republic.
Over four hours of music, comedy, entertainment and great guests. These are the ingredients of the now traditional event Rai1which accompanies the public towards the new year, created by the Prime Time Entertainment Directorate of Rai, in collaboration with the Calabria region and the Film Commission Foundation of Calabriathanks to the agreement signed with Rai Com.
A synergy, that with the Region, which has made it possible to tell and above all show, the artistic, naturalistic and landscape richness, and the centuries-old traditions, of Calabria, an area that is increasingly a tourist destination but also important for its cultural institutions such as its Universities and its Museums. A projection of this land beyond national borders also thanks to Rai Italy which will bring the welcome of 2026 to all our compatriots abroad.
Also for this edition “The Year to Come” will be available in live streaming on RaiPlay and live on radio on Rai Radio1 with a special hosted by Marcella Sullo, Duccio Pasqua e John Vignolapresent on site with a special station and incursions from the backstage to interview the guests present during the evening.
This year, to guide viewers to discover the most evocative locations in the Region, there will be an exceptional testimonial, a refined singer-songwriter as presenter, Nina Zilli, who got involved with the beauties of Calabria and who will also be present on stage to perform some of her hit songs.
The highlight of the evening will, as always, be the exceptional cast created to create a unique and original evening: Serena Brancale, Massimo Ranieri, Anna Oxa, Sal da Vinci, Orietta Berti, Cristiano Malgioglio, Rocco Hunt, Patty Pravo, Clementino, Nino Frassica and Los Plaggers Band with Gigi Rock, Nina Zilli, Neri per Caso, Settembre, Samurai Jay, Cecilia Gayle, Cugini di Campagna, Ice Mc, Ivan Cattaneo, Gazebo, Rosanna Fratello, Antonino and others still.
The big band directed by Maestro Stefano Palatresi will play live the greatest hits of the present and past.
New Year’s Eve show live on Rai1 it will also be animated by a lively dance troupe that will make the atmosphere even more suggestive and exciting.
In this ideal “timeless time”, which is New Year’s Eve, “The Year to Come” wants to unite different generations of viewers under one “roof” through music, memories and emotions. A large production which sees the participation of multiple company structures and above all all within Rai, with a large deployment of means and human resources, starting from the CPTV of Naples, responsible for the installation of the imposing stage, the sets and the lights up to the Prime Time Entertainment direction for all the editorial choices.
