Now we have an idea of how long the long-awaited Nosferatu reboot starring Lily-Rose Depp, Bill Skarsgård and Willem Dafoe will last, hitting theaters in December.
The first trailer of Nosferatu has given widespread shivers to fans of the now cult director Robbert Eggers. Now some rumours have anticipated the term of the film appeared on Reddit.
World of Reel confirms that, as previously revealed, the new version of Nosferatu will last two hours and 11 minutes. In December, a 132-minute long version was shown at a test screening, which was apparently further trimmed, albeit only slightly.
Contrary to what happened with The Northmanit seems that in this case Robert Eggers got the final cut del progetto which returns to tell the gothic story of love, death and blood told in Bram Stoker’s novel.

The official synopsis Eggers’ version reads: Nosferatu by Robert Eggers is a gothic story about the obsession between a tormented young woman in 19th century Germany and the ancient Transylvanian vampire who haunts her, bringing with him unspeakable horror.

As the first trailer for Nosferatu reveals, the visual aspect of the film reflects the time of the story. The director used a combination of lenses and filters to achieve the effect he wanted, asking a glass company to help him make a special filter that desaturates colors making them appear black and white. All this, combined with the 4/3 aspect ratio, makes the look of the film unique and disturbing.
