The Batman was one of the most popular superhero films of recent years. The film will receive a followingwhose release is scheduled for October 2026. There is still some time left so and in the meantime fans can’t wait to discover something new and have confirmation that production continues and that there will be no further delays .
In this regard, Andy Serkis aka the actor of Alfred PennyworthBatman’s butler, commented on when filming will begin: there are still more than six months to go.
The Batman 2 actor’s words about filming
Popverse reports that Serkis attended ACE Superhero Comic Con 2024 where he began a speech by pretending to be about to reveal a important plot detail, and then stopping at the most beautiful point. The joke was short, but was followed by a comment about the start of filming.
“Basically,” Serkis said, “I don’t know anything about the movie except that I just discovered that we’ll probably start shooting early next year. Consequently, if you do the math, the film will arrive a year and a half later.”
He then continued praising Matt Reeves, the director of The Batman, stating that his script will certainly be brilliant. Furthermore, Serkis says he adored Rob Pattinson, aka the Batman actor. He then closed the speech by saying that he can’t wait to get back into Alfred’s shoes.
