There is a date Of exit for the new film by Paolo Sorrentino, Parthenope.
Parthenopewith the debutant Celestial Gate And Gary Oldmanis the film about Paolo Sorrentino’s “failed youth”, set in Naples just like It was the hand of God, which is instead the film about the director’s “lived youth”. The comparison comes from an interview given to Varietyin which Paolo Sorrentino discusses his latest two films, both set in the Campania capital.
There history Of Parthenope (the review) tells of “the long journey of Parthenope’s life, from his birth in 1950 to today”, as we read on the website of the 2024 Cannes Film Festival, where the film premiered. “A female epic – continues the summary of plot – devoid of heroism, but full of an inexorable passion for freedom, however Naplesfor the faces of love”.
In the cast also Isabella Ferrari, Biagio Izzo, Silvio Orlando, Luisa Ranieri. The film will be distributed in Italy by the newly formed PiperFilm, in the United States by the prestigious A24. Below is the first clip released.
There date Of exit? It’s October 24th, but the film will be preceded by a series of special midnight screenings starting September 19th.

I watch films and play video games, from a certain point in life I also started writing about them.
