Last weekend we reported some rumors about the possible presence of Benedict Wong in Captain America 4 as Wong, but a new correction that has emerged in recent hours has tried to definitively shed light on the matter.
Apparently, as reported by the Atlanta Filming Update channel, a social page that keeps track of updates on film production based in Atlanta (a city that has increasingly become the headquarters of Marvel Studios and Hollywood blockbusters in general and which is currently hosting the filming of Captain America: Brave New World and James Gunn’s Superman), Benedict Wong was indeed in Atlanta these days, but for personal reasons and in no way linked to the new chapter of the Captain America saga.
“Yes, it’s in town“, clarified the photographer who had published the photos of the actor – interpreter of the Sorcerer Supreme Wong in the MCU – in a new post. “People saw him walking around the city center. But his presence here is not tied to Marvel, at least for the moment. We don’t know if she will end up going to the set of Captain America and filming scenes for the MCU film, for the moment that hasn’t happened.“
Wong’s presence in Captain America 4 would mark yet another cameo for the character in the Multiverse Saga, which is why we suspect that he may have something to do with the formation of the new Avengers in the future.
