How could the Eddie Brock saga end? The new Marvel-Sony film Venom: The Last Dance will be one of the flagship events of autumn 2024, also due to the fact that Sony is ‘selling’ the film as the last chapter of the series based on the famous villain Spider-Man.
The details of the film’s plot to date remain very vague and speak of ‘Eddie and Venom on the run’ and ‘forced to make a shocking decision that will bring the curtain down on their last dance’, but the official synopsis provided by Sony to the press it specifically speaks of the ‘final film of the trilogy’confirming a whole series of rumors that had already emerged in the past about the fact that this chapter would be the last of the ongoing saga.
Does this mean Eddie Brock will die at the end of Venom 3? Maybe yes, but not necessarily: the possibilities are vast to say the least thanks to the Marvel Multiverse, and although it is probable that Tom Hardy has reached the conclusion of his ‘narrative cycle’ it does not mean that Venom cannot find space elsewhere, literally in a another ‘guest’. At the same time, it is always possible that Sony wants to close this trilogy to start a new narrative course, perhaps by finally having this Venom meet the Spider-Man of their universe in a crossover film.
