These images were then set to music by Massimo Zamboniguitarist of the punk rock band CCCP – Faithful to the line, so much so as to make the documentary a sort of real one concert film.
Here’s what the directors had to say:

“We tried to reduce the celebratory/liturgical sense of the original film linked to those times and to favor the warm and lively human relationship that Berlinguer managed to have with the popular masses. In our new assemblage we have inserted the living Berlinguer to intersperse the expanded times of the long ceremony. This is done through a careful selection of a series of films made available by the AAMOD – Audiovisual Archive of the Workers’ and Democratic Movement in which the affection and participation of the people towards their leader is shown, in a symbiotic relationship of encounter that cements the relationship over time.”
