We are ever closer to the debut of the live action series The Acolytenext June 5 on Disney Plus. It was recently released a new exclusive commercial for the Korean public, which shows us an unreleased sequence very interesting. Let’s see it below!
The new commercial from The Acolyte
The Acolyte represents a turning point epochal for Star Wars, as it will be the first live action product ever to be set outside of the Skywalker saga. In particular he will tell us about an emerging darkness in the galaxy 100 years before Episode I, during the final events of the High Republic. In the commercial you see above, the actor Lee Jung–jae (interpreter of Jedi Master Sol) presents the series to the Korean public. Most of the sequences are also present in the main trailer, but there is a very interesting unpublished one.
This is the scene he presents to us a group of neimoidians. It is a fundamental clue that is linked to what will be, a hundred years later, the events of Episode I: The Phantom Menace. It is likely that the series could introduce us among other things the rise of the Market Federation, a very important corporation that would acquire great power and influence. Canonically we know that it was born around 350 BBYso 250 years before the series.
So The Acolyte could be the perfect opportunity to show us how, from just an organization promoting free trade, the Federation has transformed into a real, very powerful cartel, with its own commercial fleet of large warships and a privatized military force. All right thanks to the neimoidians, who became one of the Federation’s most powerful partners and benefited greatly from the renowned galactic network of affiliated businessmen and merchants. Over time, the Neimodians began to exert more and more power over the organizationup until the events of Episode I.
