Director Guy Ritchie he has another film in the works, entitled Wife and Dogwhich will return to being set in the manner of the British high aristocracy, after The Gentlemenwhich proved to be a success on Netflix.

The Black Bear company will launch sales of the film at the Marché du Film in Cannes, with the festival starting tomorrow. At the moment, no particular plot details are known, but according to what Variety reports Ritchie, leading author of English pulp and former director of Lock & Stock – Crazy people running wild And Snatch – The tearwill return to face the colorful and transgressive world of the British aristocracy that he had handled in the 2019 film with Matthew McConaughey and in the spin-off series of the same name that emerged from that film and which proved to be a success on the streaming giant demand.

The filming of Wife and Dog will be made in October, with an A-list cast reportedly in talks to join the cast. Ritchie wrote the screenplay and will produce the film alongside longtime producing partner Ivan Atkinson (The Gentlemen, Wrath of Man) and John Friedberg of Black Bear (The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, Ferrari). Executive producers include Teddy Schwarzman and Michael Heimler for Black Bear.
