It is Zoë Kravitz’s directorial debut and stars her boyfriend Channing Tatum as a tech billionaire who owns a private island. And in the last few hours its first trailer has been released. We are talking about “Blink Twice”, the debut film of the actress, daughter of Lenny Kravitz and Lisa Bonet, a psychological thriller which also stars Naomi Ackie, Alia Shawkat, Simon Rex, Adria Arjona, Haley Joel Osment, Christian Slater, Kyle MacLachlan and Geena Davis.
The name of the film, released in the media in recent months, was “Pussy Island”, before becoming “Blink Twice”. Working on the screenplay, in addition to Kravitz, is ET Feigenbaum, with whom they told the story of a waitress Frida, played by Naomi Ackie, who meets this billionaire during a charity event. This is how she takes a liking to her, as well as being invited, together with one of her friends, Jess, played by Alia Shawkat, to her private island to spend a weekend party. It’s a shame that what seemed like an enchanted and magical place, in reality, as the protagonists discover, hides dark secrets.
Kravitz’s debut film has attracted curiosity since its first trailer and is preparing to land in cinemas in Italy from 22 August 2024 – 23 August in the USA -, produced by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Free Association, FilmNation Entertainment and Bruce Cohen Productions, distributed by Warner Bros. in Italy.
