Dark Matter: The plot of the new Apple TV+ series

Written by Crouch himself, Dark Matter follows Jason Dessen (Edgerton), a physicist, professor and family man who, one night, while walking home through the streets of Chicago, is kidnapped by a masked and armed man who gets out of an SUV, later waking up in a alternative of his life where his wife is not his wife, his son was never born and he is not an anonymous professor but the genius who accomplished a memorable feat. Has he dreamed before or is he doing it now? How can he return to the family he loves? To answer these questions, Jason will have to face an irreducible opponent: dark matter, inside and outside of him.

“As the creator of the box, behind every door there is a version of your life that you could have lived” the protagonist is heard saying in the trailer, before realizing that “A different Jason took me away, from my world.
