The 5-a-side football tournament organized by the Cral of the Global Wafers – Memc company of Novara in favor of Lilt, the Italian League for the fight against tumors, a provincial association of Novara Odv, took place in recent days at the sports area of Parco della Mora in Pernate. The charity initiative allowed not only to raise funds for Lilt, but also to promote sport as an essential factor for a healthy life.
To the participants and to all those present, Lilt offered informative material on the 12 pills of oncological prevention together with the brochures of healthy lifestyles, physical activity and the awareness campaign of male prevention. The president of Memc Electronic Materials Spa Marco Sciamanna, the director of Human Resources Edgardo Pistoia and the manager Hse (Health Safety Environment) Stefano Garbini were present.
Four teams participated in the tournament: at the end of the matches between the Whites, Greens, Blues and Reds, the latter were awarded the winners’ trophy. Salvatore Murè was awarded as best goalkeeper, Giuseppe Bruzzaniti as best player and Patrick Tagliabue as top scorer. The organization was taken care of in particular by Giovanni Ritrovato, also among the players of the tournament.
