Right-footed midfielder born in 1997, originally from Pescara, very tactically versatile, able to adapt to various roles and also skilled in the finishing phase but also appreciated for his human and dressing room qualities in the last 12 months spent in Molfetta.
Growing up in the thriving youth sector of his city, Gelsi made his debut in the Quarta Serie in Giulianova in 2015, making 4 appearances. Subsequently, the experience with Porto Sant’Elpidio in Serie D, where he found space for 14 times, before moving, in the current season, to Torrese in Eccellenza Abruzzese, winning the regional Italian Cup. Significant was his experience with the jersey of Sambuceto, an Abruzzo club of Eccellenza, with which he remained for three seasons, from 2016 to 2019.
The 2019/20 season marked Gelsi’s return to Porto Sant’Elpidio in Serie D, where he made 33 appearances and scored 5 goals until 2021. In the 2021/22 season, however, he spent time in the Tuscan Eccellenza with Livorno, a club with which he won the championship (27 appearances and 3 goals). In the 2022/23 season he was a protagonist with Notaresco in Serie D, making 32 appearances and scoring 2 goals, while he was central in the last season with Molfetta.
