Great participation and hard-fought challenges to say the least for the Third Category Umbrian Championships which were held at the Junior Tennis Perugia. As for the singles titles, in the men’s field the scepter went to Valerio Andreani of the Tennis Club Perugia who came from behind (67 61 62) the home favorite Matteo Ripiccini; in the women’s field, however, the athlete from Junior Tennis Perugia, Sara Roggerini, prevailed, victorious 62 63 over Maria Vittoria Santarelli (Tennis Club Terni). As for the men’s doubles, home satisfaction for the Tarpani family, with Maestro Roberto who won the title together with his son Tommaso at the end of an authentic battle within the Junior team; beaten Michele Lillacci and Matteo Ripiccini 75 46 1210. Women’s doubles to the tandem of the Circolo Tennis Umbertide composed of Elisa Scalseggi and Ginevra Ciocchetti, who beat the duo of the Tennis Club Perugia Lucrezia Lolli/Livia Moriconi. Finally, the mixed doubles title was also awarded, with success for Sara Roggerini and Valentino Grasselli (Junior), victorious 61 63 over Frida Santoni and Alejandro Martinez (Tc Montarello Spoleto). Referee judge of the event Loris Termine, the Junior Masters, Andrea Grasselli, Stefano Lillacci and Francesco Vazzana and the vice president of the FITP Umbrian regional committee, Maurizio Mencaroni, also took part in the awards ceremony.
