AND Nicholas Contardi the new president of thePiacenza Commuters Association. He was elected during the last assembly of the association which among the items on the agenda saw the resignation of the president in office Valeria Caimmi: it was Contardi who took up the baton who was already part of the council together with Mauro Braghieri, Paolo Martini, Luca Tosi and Giuseppe Nuovo.

Sixty-two years old, a life as a commuter first for study reasons and then for work, Contardi is a computer scientist: “Beyond the cleanliness of the trains there is a question of mobility and services that pertain to the station – he explains – first of all the availability of parking must be considered: the large area that currently serves the station is abandoned to itself and it goes without saying that the physical degradation of a place also leads to a lack of safety. The station area cannot be a space in which to be afraid”.

Contardi does not have the definitive solution – he says so himself – however with one word he indicates the starting point: “I believe that a plan is needed – he underlines – as an Association we have the desire to meet the administration to understand what ideas and plans it has on Piazzale Marconi and its surroundings. However, it is true that the administration also has a fundamental role, the problem affects everyone, it concerns the entire citizenry”.
