Bolognese stop on Dogstar’s Italian tour at the Bonsai Garden, the summer event at the Caserme Rosse park in Bologna.
I Dogstar were born in the early 90s and soon became famous for their participation on the bass of Keanu Reevesthe award-winning Canadian actor remembered for starring in successful films such as Matrix, The Devil’s Advocate, Point Break, John Wick and also for appearing in one of the most popular games of the new generation: Cyberpunk 2077.
The group was born in 1991 from the meeting of the actors Robert Mailhouse e Keanu Reevesrespectively drummer and bassist; The duo is joined by actor Gregg Marc Miller on guitar and vocals. The band first calls itself Small Fecal MatterThen BFS (an acronym that could indicate Big Fucking Shit o Big Fucking Sound) and finally Dogstara name proposed by Mailhouse which he found while reading the book Sexby the writer Henry Miller.
In 2000 the second album Happy Ending was released, this time distributed by Ultimatum Music, the sound will be defined by Domrose as Pop Aggressive compared to the previous album. Dogstar’s last concert took place in Japan in October 2002 and the group disbanded shortly thereafter.
In May 2022, about twenty years after their breakup, the group announced their reunion on their Facebook page and Instagram page (created on the occasion of the reunion with a description that reads “Dogstar is back”), also declaring that they were working on a new album, recording of which is scheduled to begin in July.
In October 2023 it was released Somewhere Between the Power Lines and Palm Treesthe band’s new album, which they are currently touring internationally in 2024.
