The ‘Amelia, city of creativity, art and craftsmanship’ project, conceived by the ‘Agorà’ association, will start on Monday 1 July. Appointment in the art gallery room of the archaeological museum at 5pm.
Amelia Monday’s is a meeting aimed “at all local artists and artisans interested in exhibiting their works in August and at associations interested in making proposals, participating in exhibitions and events”. The project will continue until August 2025 and in this period of time the updated mapping will be done and the valorisation of the expressions of creativity, art and craftsmanship of which «Amelia is rich, as a resource for the identity and development of the American community». During the initiative, ‘Umbria Contadina’ will be valorised, the house museum of the wood sculptor, Carlo Romildo, which will be connected to the city’s museum circuit. And there will be an exhibition of a work by Carlo Romildo in the school premises, which will involve students on the theme of creativity and next year there will be an exhibition as a moment of final restitution of the project.
The project The implementation of the entire project will be boosted by the staging of widespread exhibitions coinciding with the 2024-25 American summer events organized by the pro loco. And some of the places involved will be: the museum, the Santa Fermina Center, the Civic Tower, Palazzo Petrignani, Sala Agorà. The initiative is supported by the Cassa di Risparmio di Terni and Narni Foundation, it was presented by the ‘Agorà’ association with the partnership of the Municipality of Amelia, the pro loco, the All-inclusive of Amelia, Contrada Collis, the ‘Yellow box’ association , Cesvol and the collaboration of the ‘L’clock’ cooperative, BU Sistema Museo.
The association’s invitation «In the meantime, all people who have a creative soul, who love art, craftsmanship and the city of Amelia are invited to participate in this project by adhering to collaboration proposals».
