On Saturday 29 June Passaggi Festival will turn on the big screen in Piazza XX Settembre to be able to follow the Switzerland-Italy football match scheduled for 6pm live.

The art exhibitions and workshops for children will continue, as will the book presentations by the sea at aperitif time (Fosso Sejore), the meetings with the author in the festival bookshop and the guided tours to discover the area. On the central stage in Piazza XX Settembre the awarding of the plaque for the “Elisa Mascarucci” dedicated to the best children’s workshop, the recognition “A long commitment” to the volunteers of the festival and the award ceremony of the competition ‘The Passaggi shop windows‘ which involved the city’s shops. In closing, the traditional ‘night talk’ of the festival with Rita Cucchiara international AI expert, who will reflect on the 2024 theme ‘Error and artifice’. Guests include: Ludovico Tersigni, Nico Acampora, Marco Fioravanti, Giusella Finocchiaro, Armando Massarenti, Mario Natangelo, Carlo Vecce. All events are free (with the exception of guided tours).

The afternoon starts with book presentations, workshops, wellness practices, scientific aperitifs

We begin the afternoon with workshops for children (aged 6 to 10) organized by Francesco Tenaglia and the guys from Frolla Microbiscottificio who propose the fun creative activity “In the kitchen with Frolla” (Pincio, 5.45 pm). The guided tour with Manuela Palmucci, a qualified tourist guide, was interesting, discovering the fascinating history of the Contrada San Marco, a popular neighborhood on the edge of the walled city where the inhabitants gradually settled around the church and the rectory (reservations required at number 346.6701612 – cost 10 euros).

Julia Bonacucinaprofessor at the School of Medicine and Health Products of the University of Camerino, will propose an interesting reflection on drugs and their use within the initiative “I took a medicine: did I do it wrong?” (L’Uccellin Bel Verde tea room, at 6.30 pm). The event, within the exhibition “Glasses of Science”, includes LIS interpretation in collaboration with Ens (National Deaf Organization) of Pesaro Urbino and thanks to the support of Dago Elettronica. Maria Sibylla Merian tells her story” (Editoriale Scienza), illustrates to the little ones the incredible life of a great artist, scientist, adventurer and pioneer of ecology who lived between the 17th and 18th centuries. The author talks with Valeria Patregnani, head of the Fano Library System (Mediateca Montanari – 6.30 pm). Ecology and environment also at the center of the meeting with Mark Fioravantimayor of Ascoli Piceno, author of “We are the environment. For an ecological revolution of the environment” (Baldini+Castoldi), a political manifesto that proposes a cultural change, in terms of awareness and responsibility. We go down in history with the text “The Master of Elegance” (Baldini + Castoldi) on the entrepreneur from the Marche region in the clothing sector, Torello Latini, whose life inexorably intersects with the events linked to the Nazi-Fascist period in Italy and whose memory is brought to light thanks to the work of Gianluca Conti. The author will discuss it with Nando dalla Chiesa, sociologist, president of the Scientific Committee of Passaggi Festival, and Giorgia Latini, deputy and vice-president of the Culture, Science and Education Commission of the Chamber of Deputies (former Church of San Francesco – 7.30 pm).

At the Montanari Media Library, meetings await us with the authors of “Passages between the clouds” who will dialogue with comic book critics Virginia Tonfoni and Alessio Trabacchini. Andrea Ferraris (7.30 pm), illustrator and cartoonist, will present “Storm” (Oblomov Editions). A warm nostalgia accompanies the thirteen chapters of the work, thirteen stories of friendship, of boys who become adults in a small province. The author will talk with Virginia Tonfoni, comics critic. This will be followed, at 9.30pm, by the award ceremony for the “Una Lettura fra le Nuvole” competition created in collaboration with “La Lettura”, the cultural weekly of Corriere della Sera. Lara Ineschiaka Lara Aayna, young illustrator from Caorle, winner with her short graphic novel, entitled “The photo” will be awarded by Mara Cerri, illustrator and president of the Jury, Jessica Chia, journalist from Corriere della Sera, Giovanni Di Bari, curator of the Exhibition and Giovanni Gasparini, from the Renco group. The review will close with Mario Natangelo (10.00 pm) and his “Ash.
