«Hermes Praticò is the new president of the Interact Club Reggio Calabria Nord Liceo Classico Tommaso Campanella for the Rotary year 2024/2025. The passing of the collar, which Praticò received from Maria Scurtul, already president for the 2023/2024 financial year, took place during aa suggestive ceremony held at Villa Zerbi.
The changeover – we read in the press release – between club representatives is one of the most exciting moments of the year, in the life of the Club Service. The ceremony was attended by illustrious personalities from the Calabrian Rotarian and Interactor world, including, Maria Pia Porcino new Governor of Rotary Calabria District 2102 and the District Representative of Interact, Alessandra Idone, Giovanni Porcelli Past President of the Reggio Calabria Nord club, Carmen Lucisano, Headmaster of the “Tommaso Campanella” Classical High School and Past President of the Reggio Calabria Est Club, Mariella CuzzolaSecretary for the RC Nord Club, Richard Santacroce Interact Delegate for the RC Nord Club, Ventura Sunday new Interact delegate for the RC Nord Club e Teresa Varano President of Interact Club Reggio Calabria.

During the evening, the participants experienced intense moments of Rotary life and traditions and were able to appreciate the great ability, style, attention to detail and refined taste that characterized the organization of the evening, with the appointment of the new board of directors and new members.

The new positions – we read in the press release – have been entrusted to Michael Melchionna, vice president, Raffaello Pio Marino, Treasurer, who alternates with Giuseppe Morace, who will take on the role of advisor to the Club, Mercedes Catanoso, prefect, and Amalia Mazzitelli secretary, a reconfirmation for both, and finally the remaining two Councillors Lorenza Poeta and Carla Marrapodi. The new members who will strengthen the Club are: Bruno Marcianò, Sofia De Stefano, Veronica Picciotto and Margherita Milasi D’Africa.

In closing, the incoming president Praticò, together with the Past President Scurtul, delivered three plaques of thanks, respectively to Domenico Chindemi, collected by Riccardo Santacroce, Giovanni Porcelli and Carmen Lucisano. A plaque of good wishes was also delivered to the new Governor Maria Pia Porcino, who honored Praticò and Scurtul with gifts “Rotary International District 2102».
