The Technical Commissioner of Latvia and former selector of the Italian youth national teams, from Under 18 to Under 21, Paolo Nicolato spoke at Radio FirenzeViola during the “Viola Weekend” broadcast to talk about various Viola players trained in blue by the coach. These are his statements starting from a comment on the new signing of Fiorentina Moise Kean: “He is a boy who, as far as I have known him, has great potential, great leg and great speed. He has predefined characteristics but he is a strong player. Can he benefit from a place like Florence? Passionate places are good for everyone and will do well also to Moise. He has depth characteristics, especially when the opposing defensive line has a lot of space to attack from behind he can become, in my opinion, decisive. He is a great counter player and is useful to all coaches.”

“First of all, good players can play anywhere. For me he is more of a striker than a second striker between the lines. Then it is difficult to say because each player has his own development. I preferred him as a first striker even if I also made him play as a winger but in my opinion he has the characteristics to play on the opposing defensive line because he has a speed that can cause problems for anyone”.
