Perugia, 29 June 2024 – The staff of the Flying Squad of the Perugia Police Headquarters arrested, in execution of a provision for the execution of concurrent sentences issued by the General Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of Appeal of Perugia last May, a citizen foreigner of Tunisian origins, born in 1984, still having to serve the residual sentence of 12 years, 1 month and 14 days for crimes relating to drugs, crimes against individuals and illegal immigration.

During the course of 2023 the man had been located in Slovakia and detained there for reasons of illegal immigration. In the month In June of the same year, an international arrest warrant was issued against the man within the Schengen area.

The personnel of the Flying Squad of the Police Headquarters, following targeted activities aimed at finding the subject, managed to locate the place where he was a fugitive and proceed with his capture.

Subjected to a search, the man was found in possession of 3 gr. of a narcotic substance such as cocaine, a precision scale and packaging material.

Once all the formal procedures were completed, the man was taken to the Perugia Capanne prison, at the disposal of the judicial authorities.
