RUVO DI PUGLIA – Fear remains, a lot, but fortunately it is a story that the unfortunate protagonist will be able to tell. A 46-year-old man from Ruvo di Puglia was attacked by two pitbulls while he was going along the Ruvo-Bisceglie for his usual morning jog. Suddenly he had a huge scare with the two pitbulls that tried to attack him, biting him in the heel. The man, evidently very well trained, was quick to find refuge in a tree and immediately alert the emergency services.

Trembling, he waited thirty minutes before the arrival of a Night Guard security guard who took him to the local health center in Ruvo di Puglia and gave him first aid.

In the health facility, the operators immediately treated him and then took him to the “Umberto I” hospital in Corato for the necessary treatment. The man was terrified, shocked by what had happened and the danger he had escaped. Luckily the runner only suffered minor injuries from the attack, but the encounter with the two pit bulls really put his health at risk.

It is certainly an affair that smacks of a narrow escape for the man who is still in shock. Ruvo-Bisceglie is a road frequented by numerous runners who then head onto the avenue that leads to the cemetery. Dogs were also spotted in that area and the fear was great for the many morning and evening visitors to those places in the hours following the crime.

The pitbulls were found and taken back to their rightful owners who had immediately reported the escape of the two specimens from their villa to the local Carabinieri Station. They had appeared to be in good health, so the unfortunate protagonist of the story had imagined that they were not strays, but had certainly escaped from some home…
