POWER – Following the decisions taken within the Provincial Committee for Public Order and Security, chaired by the Prefect of Potenza Michael Bellmana targeted service of extraordinary inter-force controls has been set up to “high impact”, carried out in the capital on the evening of yesterday, Friday 28 June and which involved the use of personnel from the State Police, the Carabinieri, the Guardia di Finanza and the Local Police.
Specifically, during the aforementioned service, which also saw the use of dog units, careful checks were carried out in the main meeting places of the city of Potenza.
During this activity, the administrative violation referred to in art. 75 DPR 309/1990 was ascertained and contested against four individuals, two Italians and two foreign citizens, found in possession of a narcotic substance of the hashish type, which was seized.
Furthermore, behind a car in via Achille Rosica, a package containing approximately 5 grams of a narcotic substance of the Hashish type was found and seized.
During the service, 6 commercial establishments were checked and a total of 87 subjects were identified, of which 33 tested positive in the SDI database.
Finally, it should be noted that yesterday a Nigerian citizen was accompanied to the CPR of Palazzo San Gervasio who, having been stopped during the territory control activity, was found to be illegal on the national territory and with a police record.
Inspired by the Directive of the Minister of the Interior of 19 September 2023, the model “high impact” is tested periodically in the Potenza area, with significant operational results.
