New meeting, yesterday, 28 June, at Palazzo di Città as part of the technical table wanted and established by the mayor Rinaldo Melucci to start the procedure that will lead to the drafting of the General Urban Plan (PUG), the instrument that will have to redesign the face of the city.
In continuation of the activities started in recent months, Professor Francesco Karrer and his team illustrated to the mayor, to the councilor Edmondo Ruggiero, to the director of the Urban Planning Office, Eng. Simona Sasso, the municipal councilor Giuseppe Fiusco and the technicians of the Planning Office of the Urban Planning Directorate, the state of progress of the Plan in view of the upcoming participation meetings with the various stakeholders of the territory.
Regarding all areas, including the Taranto Marina, the scenarios outlined by Professor Karrer’s team have been the subject of a constructive discussion that will continue, according to schedule, also next month, all while waiting for the second Co-Planning Conference to start in September to evaluate the activities carried out, a prelude to the last phase of the procedure, which will culminate in the presentation of the Urban Plan to the City Council for its adoption.
