PALERMO – Green light for competitions for social workers who want to work in the municipalities of Monreale and Palermo.
They were Competition notices for hiring published on the InPA Portalfull-time and permanent, of 33 social workers (3 for Monreale and 30 for Palermo); an early childhood educator for the Municipality of Monreale; 4 experts in the social-welfare area (EASA) e 2 pedagogists for the Municipality of Palermo; an official Psychologist for the Municipality of Monreale.
There will be two tests (one written and one oral), which will be held in the summer months, and a subsequent evaluation of educational and professional qualifications. Applications can be submitted until July 13, 2024 on the InPA Portal.
This maxi-competition procedure – strongly desired by the mayors Roberto Lagalla and Alberto Arcidiacono – will be built thanks to an agreement signed by the two Municipalities in March 2024when the Municipality of Palermo and the Municipality of Monreale deemed it useful to activate a form of cooperation for the joint management of various competitive procedures aimed at hiring personnel to be assigned to both Administrations.
The procedure comes at the end of intense work carried out by the offices coordinated by Councilors Dario Falzone (Personnel), Aristide Tamajo (Education) and Rosi Pennino (Social Services) of the Municipality of Palermo and Fabrizio Lo Verso (Personnel) of the Municipality of Monreale.
Lagalla: “All forces are in place to strengthen staff”
“One andntense and profitable synergy between departments and offices of two Municipalities led to this selection with the aim of strengthening the social and education sectors”, declares the mayor of Palermo Roberto Lagalla.
“An important journey for which I thank the availability of the mayor Arcidiacono and his councilor for Personnel and the commitment of the councilors of the Municipality of Palermo for Personnel, Education and Social Services. In a second phase We plan to draw on the ranking that will be formed to hire other figures. Another example of how the administration – concludes Lagalla – is making every effort to strengthen its staff”.
Archdeacon: “Positive example of synergy”
“Increasing the number of staff in strategic areas such as social services and education is an objective of my administration,” he declares Alberto Arcidiacono mayor of Monreale.

Supporting the offices of the Municipality of Monreale – which took charge of carrying out the entire procedure – will be the University of Palermo and the SeleTEK company.
