In Naples, the paternal relatives try to snatch the three-year-old girl from her mother: nine arrests, including the paternal grandparents and the father already detained.

NAPLES – Armed processions to escort the paternal grandparents during meetings with their three-year-old granddaughter and threats and beatings to the mother even for small delays. This is what emerges from an investigation by the Carabinieri of the Torre del Greco Company (Naples). Coordinated by the Neapolitan DDA, which led to the arrest today of nine people, including the paternal grandparents of the child and the father already detained. The crimes contested, to varying degrees, are stalking, personal injury and possession and carrying of weapons in a public place, crimes aggravated by the mafia method.

The investigations have shed light on the pressures and impositions suffered by the mother of the little girl, originally from a respectable family, by the De Martino clan, a criminal family from the eastern area of Naples and in particular from the Ponticelli district, after the birth of the child. The investigations of the Carabinieri of Cercola have allowed them to discover the methods with which the De Martino family attempted to obtain custody of the child, in the absence of any judicial provision. The nine arrests related to the little girl from Naples contested among the relatives have been associated with the prisons of Naples-Secondigliano and Santa Maria Capua Vetere (Caserta).
