Three separate resolutions approved by the Regional Council of Lazio for the first phase of territorial strategy. Over 32 million euros destined for the cities of Latina, Viterbo and Rieti: of these 12 will be paid into the coffers of the Pontine capital.

There will be 18 interventions funded in the city: 216 thousand euros will be used for the cycle path connection between the Nuova Latina and Nascola neighborhoods, 280 thousand euros for another cycle path connection between Autolinee, Viale Le Corbusier and Nuova Latina. 775 thousand euros will be allocated for the cycle path network within the Marina di Latina Circuit and for the respective functional structures in the section between Via Nascosa and Capoportiere. For the reuse and refunctionalization of the former school on Via Varsavia, 620 thousand euros will be needed, while for the completion of the Porta Nord Park (second section) 591 thousand euros will be needed.

Interventions that will continue with the redevelopment of the outdoor spaces of the schools of the villages (1.34 million euros), 781 thousand euros will be allocated to the completion of Piazzale dei Mercanti while 712 thousand euros will be used for the redevelopment of the parking lot of via Neghelli. Another million euros for the redevelopment of the green areas of the city center, 346 thousand euros for that of the Santa Rita park where with another 387 thousand euros a skate park will be built, 285 thousand euros for the creation of reading rooms and co-working inside the neighborhood houses.

Instead, 531 thousand euros will be needed for the extraordinary maintenance of the San Marco nursery school, extraordinary maintenance works that will also be used for the Palace of Culture where energy efficiency interventions will also be carried out for a total of 2.5 million euros.

Another 215 thousand euros will be used for the digitalization and dematerialization of the archive of the Municipal Attorney’s Office. 618 thousand euros to enhance digital services in the territory, 500 thousand euros for the extension of notifications in digital format sent through the Digital Notification Platform and finally 230 thousand euros to support the construction of the Mobility Management office of the municipal administration.

This initiative will not only support local development, but will also promote sustainable management of resources and an improvement in the quality of life for citizens”, explained the vice-president of the Lazio Region, as well as councilor for Economic Development, Commerce, Crafts, Industry and Internationalisation, Roberta Angelilli.
