Offering an enriching and usable experience in different working contexts: this is the objective of the new proposal of “A Tempo – take your time“, the project of the Municipality of Piacenza aimed at young people aged 16 to 29 who are inactive or at risk of inactivity, who are in a moment of break from study or work and need attention and support paths. From today it is in fact possible to apply for the Selection call for four candidates aged 18 to 29 who will be responsible for carrying out two events at Spazio4.0, the Aggregation Center of the Municipality of Piacenza in via Manzoni 21, a now consolidated point of reference in the city thanks to the offer of educational, cultural, recreational and sporting initiatives and activities. It is possible to submit your application by 12pm on July 15th for the organization of a sporting event or a cultural event, to be held in October 2024. In particular, the events to be organized will be the sporting event “Mundialito di Spazio4.0“, a five-a-side football tournament in the green area of Spazio4.0, with the aim of also involving young people or teams from different communities of citizens with a migratory background, and the cultural event “All You Can Read Piacenza”, in collaboration with the social cooperative Di Mano in Mano, creator of the Milanese event “All You Can Read” and the Piacenza social cooperative Des Tacum.
“A Tempo – take your time” is entrusted to the social cooperatives, Piacenza associations and third sector bodies L’Arco, Officine Gutenberg, Consorzio Sol.Co Piacenza, Fondazione La Ricerca, Associazione cultural Crisalidi, Giano APS, Cosmonauti APS, Pc_Network APS, CSV Emilia, with the objective of developing a series of interventions capable of engaging, re-motivating and accompanying inactive and fragile young people and at risk of inactivity in a path that involves their participation in the life of the local community, to make visible to them the existence of a local system capable of accompanying them in the school-work transition, as well as in moments of transition and life choices. Having reached more than half of its journey, which foresees the end of December 2024, it has so far seen the involvement of over forty girls and boys from Piacenza and the province. Young people are experiencing personalized support for access to the system of services dedicated to young people in our city, including local employment services, as well as educational and creative activities related to the world of music, theater, and bicycle mechanics, with the associated recognition of their transversal skills. Those interested have also been offered internships, again to gain a close-up view of the world of work.
Finally, all participants will be able to join the participatory writing process from 2 October to 6 November “Protagonists of the future“, through which a “manifesto” will be developed that will give voice to their point of view on the topic of work and how the community can support them in the transition from the school to the professional world. Not only that, after an initial workshop held in May “Restart with work”, the workshops of “Time with work“, for those who want to orient themselves better, conducted by the operators of the Piacenza Employment Centre: “Actively look for work on the web” on Tuesday 10 September at Spazio4.0, “Manage a job interview” on Tuesday 17 September at Spazio2, “Discover the rules of the labor market, the contracts, the incentives” on Tuesday 24 September at Spazio4.0.
