VENICE – Tragedy in the making in Venice, colleagues find him in a pool of blood: he dies Marco Salvagno, 21 year old worker, resident in Sottomarina. He severed the femoral artery with glass. It happened in Venice today, Friday 28 June, around 4pm, in the warehouse of the Boscolo Bielo company, along the Rio della Scomenzera.
The dynamics
The 21-year-old from Sottomarina was found by his colleagues in a pool of blood. Investigations are underway to reconstruct the dynamics: the boy appears to have been carrying a sheet of glass in his hand, the sheet would have fallen and a splinter would have severed the femoral artery.
The Suem health workers found the young man in hemorrhagic shock: the doctors tried to revive him with cardiac massage both there and in the hospital. But at the Civile in Venice he was declared dead. On site, the Carabinieri and the Spisal technicians.
