With months to go until Tuesday 4 February 2025, the next Sanremo Festival will kick off on the stage of the Ariston theatre, which will see the return of Carlo Conti as artistic director. Yet, for an event that in recent years has once again become an event of great media resonance in the Amadeus era, it is never too early either to start working on it, or to intercept rumors and indiscretions about the Festival to come.
And in this hot summer, after the gaffe of the director of the Sanremo theater who, by revealing the program of the building, also made the dates of the event official, and while the new rules for the competition (which returns to be separate) of the young people are being published, rumors are also circulating about the most anticipated details, those relating to the cast.
It seems that, also at Sanremo 2025, the host will be joined every evening by co-hosts who will alternate at their side. The name most insistently mentioned, although not yet made official, for this role is that of Alessandro Cattelan. But now comes a new indiscretion. Gabriele Parpiglia threw it to fans hungry for news about the Festival during the radio program Password, on RTL.
“It would seem that Mahmood could return to the Sanremo Festival,” explained Parpiglia, “He who won Sanremo with Soldi, he who also won with Blanco and Brividi. Will he return with someone else? No. It could be that, as has happened in recent years with Marco Mengoni who supported Amadeus, Tiziano Ferro was at the Amadeus festival, Emma Marrona and Arisa were with Gianni Morandi, as Achille Lauro did the paintings. Well, it could be that Mahmood will also be present at some evening with a special role during the next Festival conducted and directed by Carlo Conti.”
In short, according to the usually well-informed journalist, we are thinking of a truly new role for the singer who is very attached to the Festival, which has always marked moments of great success for him, not least this year’s one where he presented the record-breaking song “Tuta Gold”.
