PADOVA – A tragedy has shocked the town of Colmurano, in the province of Macerata. A young 28 year old psychiatrist, Margherita Salvuccia resident of the city, lost his life following an accident that occurred while he was on holiday in Madeira.
It seems that the young girl was overwhelmed by a wave while she was on a rock with her mother: it seems that the force of the water knocked her off her horse and that she violently hit her head on the rocks. After being hospitalized in very serious conditions this morning, June 28, she died in hospital. The entire community is in shock. The girl is the daughter of the former mayor of Colmurano, Ornella Formica.
Born in Macerata, but Venetian by adoption: Margherita had studied Medicine and, after graduating, had moved to Padua to obtain a specialization in Psychiatry. She had started working in the same city as the Saint. This is reported by Cronache Maceratesi.

The accident occurred around 5 pm yesterday, June 27, and the young woman was taken to the hospital: in the last few hours the news has gone around the town and everyone hoped for a miracle, then this morning the tragic epilogue. Mayor Mirko Mari has no words to describe the general emotion: «A tragedy that touches us all. We join in the immense pain of the family».
