MESSINA – The Lega Pro Board of Directors has decided on the composition of the three groups, including the one in which Messina led by Giacomo Modica, fresh from renewal, is inserted. The Giallorossi, as always in group C, for the first time will also face an Under 23 team from one of the Serie A clubs. The draw established that Juventus Next Gen will be the team that will have to play in the Southern Italy group, while the ‘Atalanta U23 will be in group A and Milan Futuro in B.
The teams
Among the teams that make up the group there are obviously all those from the South and the other two Sicilian ones, Catania and Trapani. Group C is composed as follows: Acr Messina, Audace Cerignola, Avellino, Az Picerno, Benevento, Casertana, Catania, Cavese, Crotone, Foggia, Giugliano, Juventus Next Gen, Latina, Monopoli, Potenza, Sorrento, Taranto, Team Altamura, Trapani and Turris.
The date
The dates have also been set. The first round will be on August 25, while the midweek rounds are scheduled for September 25, October 30 and March 12 of next year, in the return round. The regular season will end on April 27. The two Coppa Italia elimination rounds, instead, will be on August 11 and 18.
