“Embrace prevention”, the tour of theAsl Salerno to promote and encourage participation in free cancer screening, it ends in Salerno with a final three-day stop.
The ASL truck will conclude its journey in the capital city, where it will remain for three days, according to the following calendar:
Monday 1 July 2024 Zevi District (inside the park)
Tuesday 2 July 2024 Piazza della Concordia
Wednesday 3 July 2024 Piazza della Concordia
On the final day of July 3, 2024, at 10:30 am, at the station in Piazza della Concordia, the Strategic Management of the ASL and the oncology screening referents will hold a press conference to illustrate the results of the initiative.
The station will remain in the locations indicated above for the entire day – from 9.00 to 17.00 – to allow citizens to carry out free pap tests, mammograms and receive the colorectal kit, which they can return directly on board the truck or on the following days, in the locations that will be indicated.
It will also be an opportunity for citizens of different age groups to meet the operators of the ASL Salerno and receive all the useful information to simplify the access paths to screening services.
Please remember that the three oncological screenings available free of charge are:
- cancer of breast: mammography for target women (between 50 and 69 years old);
- cancer of the cervix uterine: Pap test performed by specially dedicated midwives (target: women between 25 and 64 years of age);
- cancer of colon retto: distribution of kits for detecting occult blood in feces to target patients. All the methods for returning the aforementioned kits will be explained to them (target: men and women aged between 50 and 74).
