Confindustria Piacenza: the Assembly of the Association’s Youth Group, gathered yesterday at the Agazzano Castle, has elected Greta Cats new president. CEO of Steel Spa and Ttp Srl, she succeeds Lorenzo Marchi (Fornaroli Polymers), becoming the first woman in the history of Piacenza to take on this role, explains a note from Confindustria Piacenza.

Greta Catsborn in 1993, graduated in International Management at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Piacenza. Since her high school diploma, she has worked in the family businesses: Steel Spa, which trades in special steels, and Ttp Srl, Trattamenti Termici Piacentini.
Inaugura her own path within companies starting from financial administration, which she then also deepens in her university studies. At Cattolica she focuses her thesis on companies in the Piacenza context and on generational transition, a topic dear to her and which has seen her as a protagonist in recent years. Greta Gatti is today in fact the CEO of the family businesses, a group that exceeds 50 million euros in turnover. In this case too, she is the first woman to break through the “glass ceiling” in a sector – that of the steel industry – still with a strong male traction.
Historically present within the Youth Group of Confindustria Piacenza, takes over from Lorenzo Marchi, who joined the team Nicholas Parenti as vice president, with responsibilities for “networking and synergies for development”.

“I am proud and honored to take on this role”, said Greta Gatti. “The goal is to provide continuity and nurture our young group, already very active in the area. This is for us, new generations of Piacenza entrepreneurs, a place to learn and gain experience, but also to bring the sensitivity that we develop within our respective companies, to create a network and grow all together”.
In the next weeks, concludes the note, the president will involve the members to define an ambitious and innovative program of activities that will mark the next four years of the Group, which has always been a training ground for the new generations of entrepreneurs and a nursery for the future of Confindustria Piacenza.
