VENICE – Everything is ready for the Coldiretti Village in Venice, which for 3 days will be the world showcase of the excellence of Made in Italy agricultural production. The Coldiretti event will take place from 28 to 30 June, from 9 am to 10 pm (Sunday 9 am to 8 pm) in the lagoon city between Riva Sette Martiri and the Napoleonic Gardens. The Coldiretti Village is a large container of micro events: 0 km food market, street food, an area dedicated to holiday packages offered by the Campagna Amica farmhouses promoted by Terranostra; there will be an agri-kindergarten, guided tastings in the olive oil shop, wine shop and beer shop, exhibitions on biodiversity and much more. There are spaces dedicated to conferences and workshops which over the three days will be the center of the debate on major current issues from the management of water as a scarce resource, to environmental protection, to the ongoing blue crab crisis, to the impact of climate change on the lives of citizens and on the survival of fishing and agriculture. There will be a lot of Polesine in this event, in fact there are 5 farms involved in direct sales. Companies will be present Little Peter Romagnolo and the The Polesine cooperative of Rovigo with DOP white garlic and derived products, agricultural company Agrifree of Porto Viro with dried organic wheat pasta, bread products and sunflower oil; society Prince Pius Court from Castelnuovo Bariano with honey, hazelnuts, cherries and derivatives. Finally, the agricultural company Saint Catherine by Filippo De Sero of Villadose with salt marsh honey and potted violet artichoke. Not only products for sale, but also much more: examples of land will come from our province together with ears and plants to be put on display. A large group of young entrepreneurs will be there for three days, with awards, training, meetings and much more planned for them. Finally, numerous buses organized by our offices are planned and which during the three days will bring Coldiretti members, but also summer entertainment, families, groups of friends and associations.
Furthermore, the Villaggio Coldiretti opens with the awarding of the Oscar Green competition prizes, national award for innovation in agriculture. At 9.00 am tomorrow Friday the youth creativity salon will be inaugurated where it will be possible to see first-hand the solutions born from the minds of farmers under 35 in terms of product innovation, ecological transition, social sustainability, chosen after a long territorial selection. Among others, the President of Coldiretti Ettore Prandini and the national delegate of Coldiretti Giovani Enrico Parisi will be present. Among the finalists competing for the title of Italian champion is also the Venetian Alberto Boccato di Ceregnano with the super food eggs produced in his company in the province of Rovigo.
