Turin looking for Scurto’s successor: Rolando Bianchi among the candidates

Torino is looking for Giuseppe Scurto’s successor on the Primavera bench. The club is considering several profiles, one of particular resonance and importance in the Toro environment: Rolando Bianchi. The former Granata captain is a symbol to whom the fans are particularly attached and would fully represent the sense of belonging that every youth sector wants to transmit to its players.

Primavera, Rolando Bianchi among the names for the bench: the profile

After hanging up his boots in the summer of 2017, Rolando Bianchi took his first steps in the world of benching. He doesn’t have the experience of other coaches having started this path less recently, but he can bring to Turin what he has learned in recent years working in one of the most popular youth sectors in Italy, that of Atalanta. Bianchi, born in Lovere in the province of Bergamo and raised in the Dea youth academy, began collaborating with the club which launched him from the 2021-2022 season as a technical collaborator. In 2022-2023 he sat on the bench in the role of assistant coach in the Under 18s, a category in which he continued his training until joining the Under 23s in the season that ended in June, once again as a technical collaborator. Primavera would therefore be his first job as head coach and would represent a challenge for the former Granata striker.

Torino Primavera, Bianchi and the return to the garnet

Rolando Bianchi would make the leap to the Spring team being able to count on the support of an environment he knows well and has given him so much. The former Granata striker spent five years in the shadow of Mole as a footballer, from 2008 to 2013. In this period of time he made a total of 169 appearances, embellished with 73 goals. An important haul that still sees him at the foot of the top 10 of the best scorers in Granata history. Eleventh place for Rolando Bianchi, just as eleven years have passed between his farewell to the Granata and his possible return to Turin. Now the former captain could open a new chapter to write a new story and leave a new mark on Toro but from the bench to lead the young Granata players who would like to retrace his footsteps and one day land in the first team.
