PESCARA. Emotion and pride, last night, in a Piazza Salotto refreshed by the rain, for the parade that concluded the ceremony for the 250 years of the Guardia di Finanza, which wanted to experience this historic milestone among the citizens, in the heart of the city, after having dedicated the day to the people of Pescara – until 9.30 pm – with the prevention citadel, set up in collaboration with the healthcare personnel of Synergo Srl, coordinated by doctor Stefano Guarracini.

The balance sheet of the Financial Police’s activity in the province of Pescara in 2023 and in the first five months of 2024 shows impressive numbers. There were 3,623 inspections and 1,163 investigations to combat economic-financial crimes and the infiltration of crime into the economy: an “all-out” commitment to protect families and businesses. There are many fields of intervention for the yellow flames. Fraud and tax evasion: 60 total tax evaders and 108 illegal or irregular workers discovered. Public spending: 134 interventions carried out aimed at verifying the entitlement of citizens and businesses to tax credits, contributions and financing, as well as the correct execution of the works and services subject to public procurement, for over 121 million euros. Fight against organized crime: 8 interventions led to the reporting of 50 people and the reconstruction of illicit operations worth over 30.4 million euros. Over 21 kg of narcotic substances were seized, mainly cocaine, hashish and marijuana, reporting 78 subjects. The work of controlling the territory was invaluable: in the area of ​​the Rancitelli neighborhood and in other sensitive areas, 3,501 people, 2,903 vehicles were checked, 28 individuals were reported, of which 5 were arrested, and 114 administrative violations were found.
