MARSALA (TRAPANI) – They allegedly beat a girl out of jealousy. This is the accusation against two girls now on trial before the Court of Marsala for aggravated personal injury. The accused are Monia Marino, 25 years old, and Stella D’Acquisto, 27 (the second is also accused of the crime of private violence).

Violence and injuries, investigations

With the two alleged “beaters”, there was also a third girl: Francesca Valenza, 23 years oldwho requested an abbreviated trial and was sentenced by the preliminary hearing judge to 6 months in prison (suspended sentence) for the personal injuries and acquitted of the charge of private violence.

The facts date back to August 2022. According to the prosecution, the victim was lured by deception near the “Dolce vita” pastry shop in Contrada Dara, on the northern outskirts of Marsala. And here she would have been hit with kicks and punches. And even when she ended up on the ground, Monia Marino would not have stopped, continuing to hit her and slam her head against the cara Fiat Panda, which in the meantime the other two had driven to the site of the attack to prevent, according to the prosecution, any possibility of escape for the beaten girl.

Forced to seek treatment at the emergency room of the “Paolo Borsellino” hospital, the young girl who was attacked was judged to be recoverable in ten days. The police carried out the investigations after the complaint.
