Advanced Training Course “The Energy Transition in UNESCO World Heritage Sites and Cities of Art”

“Making sustainability and communicating it is today a concrete management and strategic management tool for cities of art as well as UNESCO Heritage Sites”. With these words the president of the UNESCO Club of Bisceglie, Pina Catino, explains the decision of the partnership she leads to enroll two young graduates in an important specialization course in sustainable energy communities organized by the UNESCO Chair of the University of Pisa.

This is a Higher Education course in which you will understand i Key concepts of Sustainable Development for the energy transition with specific focuses designed for UNESCO Heritage Sites and Cities of Art. The specialization course is configured as a professionalizing path immediately preparatory to the entry into the world of work for young graduates, as well as a refresher and requalification plan for operators in the sector and public officials who work in UNESCO World Heritage Sites and Cities of Art, can in fact access as listeners, with the release of the certificate of attendance and also all those who are in possession of a high school diploma.

The course aims to offer an interdisciplinary preparation that closely connects theoretical and practical activities for the protection of the world’s cultural and natural heritage and renewable energy projects, which can go hand in hand if they are planned, evaluated and executed in such a way as to ensure the safeguarding of the Outstanding Universal Value of World Heritage properties.
