A commitment that is also renewed in 2024/25 seasonpresented this morning during a press conference, held in Foyer of the Grandinetti Municipal Theatre of Lamezia Termein the presence of the artistic director Francescantonio Polliceof the mayor of the city Paolo Mascaro and the Councilor for Culture, Annalisa Spinelliand of the entertainment councilor, Louise Vaccaro.
A meeting in which the clearly growing numbers achieved in the last edition were made known, and during which, in addition to the theater season, the 47^ MusicAMA Calabria edition, yet another organizational effort that will place Calabria among the regions most attentive to new cultural proposals in Italy. Also for the next season the association has given priority to the quality of the performers and the works chosen to create a program organized well in advance in such a way as to be able to present the final result to its audience. Art in all its forms will be the protagonist in the numerous shows that will run from October to April.

THE SHOWS – A season characterized by excellent music and theatre that will touch some of the most important places in the city of Lamezia TermeThe inauguration will be at Grandinetti Municipal Theatre con “Good morning Dad” (Saturday 26 October), a tender comedy with surprising twists on the unpredictability of life, which will feature Raoul Bova e Rocio Munoz MoralesThe month of November will feature two major events, both at Grandinetti Municipal Theatre. A journey to learn about the lives of courageous men and women, capable of experiencing astonishing adventures, will be staged by “The Giant Squid” (Friday, November 15th), con Angela Finocchiaro e Bruno Story.
The new year of LOVE Calabria will begin with the big names in acting, and with a show by the master of theater like Luigi Pirandello. He will be the excellent actor Pippo Pattavinawith his company, to interpret one of the most beautiful Pirandello’s works as “Think about it, Giacomino” (Saturday, January 18th), where the generational clash between a teacher and a boy is best and sarcastically described. The pair of actors particularly loved by the public, as Massimo Ghini e Gianmarco Tognazziwill be at the Grandinetti Municipal Theatre with the work “Orphans” (Friday, January 31st), where the duo of actors will give an intense and masterful interpretation.
Another duo of performers loved by the public will make sparks on stage with the unusual show “Pirandello Pulp” (Saturday 29 March), in which Maximum Report e Fabio Troiano will take on the role of characters who will discover disturbing truths in a delicate game of role reversal. 47th MUSICAMA CALABRIA – Luca Barbarossa will inaugurate the 47th edition of MusicAMA Calabriabringing to the stage “One hundred stories for one hundred songs” (Saturday 30 November), a show based on his book. It will be an opportunity to hear from his own voice the behind-the-scenes stories that led to the birth of his most famous songs.
Musical notes will be the guiding thread of the month of December, entirely dedicated to 47th edition of MusicAMA Calabria. Space will be given to important anniversaries, such as the one that will take place in Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Sorrows for the concert with Ducal Chamber who will see the Master Guido Rimonda (Sunday 1st December) as soloist and conductor, on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the death of Giovan Battista Viotti and the 80th anniversary of the ACLI Calabria. TheEnsemble Chiara D’Andrea (Thursday 5 December), with the original production “Via degli Ulivi”will be at ore 21 al Franco Costabile Theatre to pay homage to the important personality of the same Franco Costabile on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of his birth.
The music of Pooh will be the soundtrack for “Aladin – The Musical” (Friday, December 13th) written and produced by Stephen D’Orazio and brought to the stage by Company of the Hour which will tell, with song and with wonderful scenography, the story of the careless thief who falls in love with a princess and will see the extraordinary participation of Max Laudadio in the role of the Genie. The crackling comedy of Theo Theocoli will dominate the show “All Teo” (Thursday, December 26th), a journey into quality cabaret, where the comedian will retrace some of his most famous monologues, recalling the funniest gags and his brilliant imitations. 47th edition of MusicAMA Calabria will end with the inevitable gospel of Benedict Gospel Choirwith the unmissable concert “Where Gospel lives” (Saturday, December 28th), directed by the pastor Richard Odom.
THE INTERVENTIONS – According to the mayor Paul Mascaro «today there is more and more possibility to attract people and this year we have seen numerous sold out shows. The seasons that are proposed every year to our city are the stabilization of positivity at high levels, which is always our goal. The intent is to reach ever greater levels of positivity in a constant manner».
For the councilor Annalisa Spinelli «this is an ambitious project that wants to make Lamezia a cultural basin of the Mediterranean.
