A 10-year-old boy fell into a well in Palazzolo Acreide (Siracusa) for reasons that are still being ascertained. He is said to have died. As sources confirm to Fanpage.it, the body has already been recovered. Investigations are underway.

It has been recovered without life in the province of Syracuse The 10 year old child fell into a well about 15 meters deep, about half of which was full of water. It happened in the countryside of Contrada Falabia, a Palazzolo Acreide. As confirmed by sources a Fanpage.it, due to circumstances yet to be ascertained, the little one fell into a well.
There would also be one woman of 54 years who would have gone down the same well to verify that the child was there and to try to save him, but has already been recovered. She was then taken to hospital in shock. According to an initial reconstruction, a crime would be underway in that area field summer but there is no confirmation.

On site i fire fighters they tried everything possible to save him, but in the end the little body was recovered by divers. The “Drago 148” helicopter, which left from Catania Fontanarossa airport, also arrived in the area: it transported personnel specialized in Alpine Fluvial Speleo techniques.

The deployment of the Police and Carabinieri was also massive. The mayor of Palazzolo, Savior Roosterhas reached the site and is following the difficult recovery operations that have been carried out with breathless the entire province of Syracuse.
The Syracuse Prosecutor’s Office has opened an investigation about what happened. The area where the tragedy occurred was placed below seizure to allow investigations. It remains to be understood why the woman and child arrived near the well and whether the cavity was reported.
